"I like to think I have on my hands "little corners of life" where color, contrast, space and volume play very important roles. I mix realism with dreamlike, just as I feel a huge attraction for the infinite range of blue and turquoise colors. The older I get, the more I feel the need to observe nature and learn from it; perhaps this is why, without intending to, it has become the main theme of my illustrations. There are so many wonderful corners to discover and create..."

Textile In 2020 I had the opportunity to hand paint on bags and fabric accessories, and today it is one of my specialties, besides paper illustration. These ecological bags are made in Spain and are made of organic cotton. In addition, they have the GOTS certificate, which is internationally recognized and advocates textile processing that does not harm the environment and is socially conscious. And now, the important question. Can they be washed? The paint is heat-setting, so yes, it can be done with warm water (between 30º and 40ºC), mild soap, and cold water to rinse. Besides my own designs, I also make unique and personalized bags, which I show you below . If you have any gift ideas in mind, I will be happy to listen to you and advise you.

  • ABOUT ME | Laukarela

My essence I was born in Alicante, Spain, in 1994. Since I was a little girl I liked working with my hands and painting; I remember the houses of 4 and 5 floors of my dreams, among other things. I studied Design and Management of Decorative Works at EASDA. I wanted to study architecture but I discovered that what I really liked to do was to draw. I always draw with music; I like to attribute melodies to my drawings and vice versa. For those who know me I am "the one who takes care of the birthday cards" My element is earth (but I always say I am also a little bit of water). I love nature and how much we can learn from it. We’ve always thought she was shy, but I’m actually the opposite, perhaps because since I was little I expressed myself better with my hands than with words; and my face always speaks for me. I’m a cinephile, a bibliophile and a geek. Sensitive, spiritual, passionate and so grateful for those who guide me. The Illustration came to me during the pandemic without being sought after and, since then, I flow, I let myself go, aware that I still have a long journey of learning.
